When the ADE calls you

A few weeks ago I got a call out of the blue from the Arkansas Department of Education, and I was surprised because I thought something was wrong. But the nice lady on the opposite end of the line assured me I had nothing to worry about, in fact, it was about my Prudential Spirit of Community Award. I was the Arkansas State Honoree for Junior High students in 2016. The ADE wanted to give me a certificate. I was honored, and humbled at the same time. I told mom not to tell anyone. I don't want anyone to think I am still milking an event I put on 10 months ago.
